The Left Has Learned Nothing From History

Every time in history when any totalitarian force has sought to steal control of a nation, it has consistently made the same mistake.  Hubris leads it to think that it can replace individual human self interest with authoritarian control, at the point of a gun, if necessary.
The mere existence of resources does not create wealth.  Farmland is useless without the production of crops.  Minerals are useless without a reason and a means to transform them into something which has value.  All of this is done through the efforts of individual people who are motivated by their own self interests.  Everyone in the system benefits from this activity, whether they contribute to the effort or not.  Millions of Americans have lost sight of this.  Their ignorance will lead them to exchange their freedom for the chains offered by the left.  Those who are busy "transforming" America work very hard to keep these people confused.  They are guided by their lust for power, not the well being of the people they would control.

No parasite seeks to deliberately kill its host.  But when the freedom to pursue one's own fortune is destroyed and replaced with something like communism, this is invariably the result.  The left refuses to learn the lessons of history.  The final collapse of the Roman Empire in the 4th century didn't lead to the transfer of wealth and power to the barbarian warlords who destroyed it, it led to the dark ages.

The outcome of the assault on America by the left today is not certain, but if they succeed, the result will be the same.
"...The riches and success the Left believes The West has "stolen" from the rest of the world, and which they would liberate for the rest of the world by destroying The West, will cease to exit as soon as The West falls.
What they don't understand is that The West doesn't have wealth and success; The West is wealth and success…."
The quote above is part of a brilliant essay entitled "Yes, The Left IS That Stupid", at  Gunslinger's Journal .  Go there and read the entire piece.
