Casablanca, Treasure of the Sierra Madre, and The African Queen…three movies that treated such things as personal integrity in the face of a serious threat, the perils of greed and envy, and unchaining one’s humanity when confronted by pure evil…Masterpieces from the 40’s and 50’s that spoke to the human condition…these things are anathema to the goals of terrorists and socialist elitists. Sometimes what’s happening in the world is more than I’m able to deal with…I’d rather spend the time with my wife. Life is short.
